PETALING JAYA: Netizens on Twitter are pressuring PKR to choose Gombak MP Azmin Azmin (pic) as a backup candidate for mentri besar after PAS rejected PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail’s nomination as a replacement following the sacking of Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim from the party.
“If DSWA (Datuk Seri Wan Azizah) is unacceptable to all PR factions why not YB. Azmin Ali as MB so PAS don't have to shift its stand on women as Head of government,” said @Mazri73 on PAS’ priority that the mentri besar be male to enable the state leader to carry out religious duties to the fullest.
