Complaint against Anwar’s lawyer

PUTRAJAYA: A group of 32 people sent a notice of complaint to the Chief Justice over alleged contemptuous statements made by lawyer N. Surendran with regard to his client Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s sodomy case.

Lawyer Mohd Khairul Azam Abdul Aziz, who acted for the complainants, said his clients urged CJ Tun Arifin Zakaria to order an investigation into a public statement made by Surendran for elements of contempt against the judiciary.
