BUTTERWORTH: Family and friends of Sanjid Singh Sandhu, a steward on Flight MH17, held prayers for him at the Gurdwara Sahib here.
His father Jijar Singh, 71, said it had been over 20 days since the tragedy. “I just want his soul to rest in peace.”
He said he had come to terms with his son’s death.
“We just want closure and to move on with our lives,” he said yesterday.
Jijar’s 10-year-old grandson Hans Singh Sandhu said he missed his father a lot.
“But I will continue to study hard and take care of my mother and my grandparents,” said the boy.
