Supervisor fined RM30,000 for trying to bribe Syabas officers


KUALA LUMPUR: A construction supervisor has been fined a total of RM30,000 for attempting to bribe Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) officers despite being warned that it was an offence.

Yong Yaw Loong, 37, pleaded guilty to offering RM3,000 in cash to Syabas enforcement officer Nasir Othman as inducement to illegally reconnect water supply to his company’s construction site.
