Regional cooperation and communication key to preventing war, says German Ambassador

BANGI: More mechanisms of understanding and communication are needed to prevent an outbreak of war, such as the one which consumed Europe a hundred years ago in World War One, said German Ambassador to Malaysia Holger Michael.

"We need more mechanisms and institutions of understand and communication, because many conflicts arise due to a lack of communication. The more both governments and people meet, the more understanding is created. There is a task for diplomats, for governments and people to exchange knowledge and make conflicts due to a lack of understanding unnecessary," he said.
