PETALING JAYA: An independent consultant is being engaged by Selangor to allay fears over the suitability of drawing water from former mining pools to supplement raw water drawn from Sungai Selangor for treatment.
The state’s water task force committee said CH2M Hill, a globally recognised consultant for water services, had agreed to assess drinking water safety and health risks from drawing water from pools that some say is contaminated with heavy metals.
