Call for stringent checks on ships arriving from Ebola-hit countries

SHAH ALAM: Port health officials here have been urged to conduct stringent inspection on crew members of ships arriving from Ebola-hit countries.

The move is to ensure that crew members with suspected Ebola cases did not spread the disease to local port workers, said A. Balasubramaniam, secretary of the Union of Employees of Port Ancillary Services Suppliers (Unepass).
