Jailani: Internet abuse in a progressive Malaysia should never happen

HULU TERENGGANU: It is regretful that Internet abuse continues to occur although Malaysia has progressed and will celebrate its 57th Merdeka anniversary, said Deputy Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Jailani Johari.

"While the Government is trying to upgrade broadband Internet, there are some people who abuse services to spread lies and hurl insults against religion and the rulers," he said at an Aidilfitri open house attended by about 7,000 people in Kuala Berang, here, Saturday.
