PETALING JAYA: Bukit Aman's warning to groups assembling and protesting over a video clip of a PAS religious leader mocking Hindus over curry powder has drawn the ire of human rights and law initiative group Lawyers for Liberty.
The non-governmental organisation's (NGO) executive director Eric Paulsen, in a statement Thursday, said they were shocked and appalled by Bukit Aman spokesman Asst Comm Datin Asmawati Ahmad's statement that it was in breach of the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012 because the police had not been notified as stipulated in the act.
