Two men charged with murder of businessman found at oil palm plantation


JOHOR BARU: Two men including a Singaporean were charged at a Magistrate's Court here for the murder of businessman Yong Boon Cheong whose charred body was found within an oil palm plantation.

Singaporean businessman Noriskandar Zainal Yahya, 37, and carpet washer Izwanuddin Kassim, 34, were charged with the murder of Yong, which allegedly took place along Jalan Skudai, Danga bay here between 6am and 7am on July 4, this year.

The charge was read out before magistrate Mohd Azlan Shah Mohd Allias here on Sunday.

Both men nodded when the charge was read out. No plea was recorded.
