KUALA TERENGGANU: A five-month-old baby died after being flung out of a car during an accident.
Muhammad Ammar Mohd Sobri died of serious head injuries at the scene on Friday at Jalan Jerangau-Jabor near Ladang Espek Risda, Bandar Al Muktaffi Billah Shah, Dungun.
Dungun police chief Supt Ahmad Zailani Yaacub said the child was in the arms of his grandmother in the back seat when the car, driven by his aunt, spun out of control and overturned.
He said the aunt, Noor Aini Abu Bakar, 30, broke her left hand while the grandmother suffered facial injuries.
The boy’s mother, Nor Asikin Abu Bakar, suffered minor injuries, he said, adding that all the adults were sent to the Dungun Hospital. — Bernama
