Traffic along the Karak Highway on Saturday
PETALING JAYA: The balik kampung exodus continued Saturday, with more city folk heading to their hometowns for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
Traffic was congested along most expressways from early Saturday morning.
Here are some reports at 2.30pm of the situations at major highways:
KARAK: There’s a 35-km crawl after the Gombak toll plaza heading to Bentong. Road users who have not begun their journeys home have been advised to delay travel.
Traffic is also slow Batu Caves roundabout and Jalan Sentul Pasar Ramp on the DUKE heading towards the Gombak toll plaza.
EAST COAST EXPRESSWAY: Traffic is at a 5km crawl approaching the Jabur toll as you’re exiting off the highway.
PLUS South: Traffic is heavy but moving from Nilai heading towards Seremban. Road users are advised to consider the LEKAS Highway as an alternative route.
PLUS North: Traffic is slow from Behrang to Sungkai,Tapah to Gopeng, Simpang Pulai to Menora Tunnel, Kuala Kangsar to Changkat Jering, Sungai Buloh to Rawang, Bukit Beruntung to Bukit Tagar, Lembah Beringin to Tanjung Malim.
JOHOR CAUSEWAY: There is massive congestion in both directions, between Singapore and Malaysia.
