Pahang has first dengue death


KUANTAN: Dengue fever claimed its first victim in Pahang this year with the death of a senior citizen on June 16, who died while receiving treatment at Sultan Ahmad Shah Hospital in Temerloh, said the state Health Department.

Its director Datuk Dr Norhizan Ismail said there was cause for worry as dengue fever cases rose by 140% from January to July 22 compared to the corresponding period last year.
