KUALA LUMPUR: She is a single mother and more than twice his age, yet the jobless man raped the businesswoman in her home.
Ahmad Fitri Mohammad Radzi allegedly committed the offence at a low-cost flat in Kampung Pantai Dalam here at 1.30pm on July 11.
He was charged at the Sessions Court here yesterday with raping the 45-year-old woman.
Ahmad Fitri, 22, claimed trial to the offence.
According to court documents, Ahmad Fitri and the woman lived on different floors at the same apartment block.
The woman has four children, two of whom are university students, while the other two are in secondary school.
Ahmad Fitri faces 30 years in prison plus whipping if convicted under Section 376(2)(C) of the Penal Code.
DPP Siti Aishah Ahmad urged the court not to offer bail, pointing out that the accused might harass the victim as they were neighbours.
Judge Azwarnida Affandi denied bail and fixed Aug 22 for next mention.
