MH17 crash: Two Newcastle United fans on board, club sends condolences


PETALING JAYA: Newcastle United Football Club is mourning the loss of two of their supposedly most-loyal supporters, who were on board the Malaysian Airlines MH17 flight which crashed in Eastern Ukraine on Thursday night.

In a statement, it said that the duo, John Alder and Liam Sweeney, were travelling to New Zealand to support the club in the Football United Tour, due to start next week in Dunedin and Wellington.
