Doll-like: Old photos of Soosalu have been uploaded on the Facebook tribute page called ‘In loving memory of Regina Soosalu 7/Dec/1984-1/ July/2014’.
PETALING JAYA: Two weeks have passed since Estonian model Regina Soosalu died but well-wishers continue to fill up a Facebook tribute page set up for her, singing praises of her beauty.
Some could not hide their captivation by the 30-year-old’s looks, with a user known as Masy Katry gushing “those eyes” referring to a photograph of Soosalu as a child.
Another user known as Mallissa May Manuel said she felt Soosalu’s death was a waste, “a pretty gorgeous doll like you with a flourishing career had to be called to the Lord so fast ... RIP Doll”.
Bobby YP Wong posted: “Who would have thought her tragic fate was written in this beautiful face. Only God knew.”
The Facebook page, called “In Loving Memory Of Regina Soosalu 7/Dec/1984 – 1/Jul/2014”, had a total of 2,174 likes at press time.
The administrator of the page has posted several personal and childhood photographs of Soosalu provided by her family.
A user known as Matt Cho said even though he had not seen Soosalu “since the old Bangkok days”, he would always remember their good times together.
“Always enjoyed bumping into you at castings too :) You were one cool cat. RIP Regina x (sic),” he posted on the page.
A Facebook user called Terry ZT said he missed “all her unique posts about science, food and compassion for animals”.
Some, however, took on a serious tone, with a user called Dorai Kolanthai hoping that justice would be served for her.
Another person claimed that she was “working illegally” in Kuala Lumpur and was also charged with drugs.
It was reported that Soosalu, who was on a short vacation with her boyfriend, was initially thought to have drowned on July 1.
However, police later classified the case as murder.
Soosalu and her boyfriend Tunku Alang Reza Tunku Ibrahim were also reportedly involved in a drug case in January and were even brought to court in May to face charges.
