KUALA LUMPUR: The Customs Department has conducted a simulation exercise to test the impact of the goods and services tax (GST) and found that traders have no reason to increase price indiscriminately.
Customs director-general Datuk Seri Khazali Ahmad said the people should dismiss the perception that GST would change their lifestyle because the department had done this simulation test and found traders had no reason to purposely increase their prices.
