Mabul attack: Kidnapped cop among first to serve in Esszone, says brother.

KOTA KINABALU: The marine policeman kidnapped by a group of armed men at a resort in Pulau Mabul, Semporna last night was among the first to serve in the Eastern Sabah Security Zone (Esszone).

Zakria Aliep, 31, the elder brother of kidnapped victim Constable Zakia Aliep, 26, said after the Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) was established following the Sulu terrorist intrusion in Lahad Datu in February last year, his brother was among the first to apply to serve at Esszone.
