JITRA: A hunting trip for wild boar turned fatal for a man after he accidentally shot himself in the head with his pumpgun.
It was learnt that A. Teraji, 59, was riding his motorcycle with his right hand while holding the weapon with his left hand at a rubber tree plantation in Felda Laka Selatan at Changlun here.
As the road was rocky, he lost his balance and fell from his motorcycle before accidentally shooting himself in the head at about 6pm Friday. He died on the spot.
The body was sent to the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar for post-mortem.
