PETALING JAYA: A Malaysian psychiatrist is better-placed to evaluate Muhammad Rizalman Ismail's mental condition than his New Zealand counterparts, believes a prominent lawyer.
"The Malaysian psychiatrist may have an advantage as he understands Malaysian customs, culture, religion and local eccentricities, relevant to the psychiatric make-up of the accused," said Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah.
