KAJANG: A 25-year-old unemployed man has been arrested for allegedly taking photos of men performing oral sex on him and blackmailing them into paying hefty sums for the pictures.
District OCPD Asst Comm Ab Rashid Ab Wahab said police detained the “sextortionist” at his Bandar Tasik Kesuma house in Semenyih on Wednesday.
The man would befriend other men, in their 20s and 30s, on Facebook and arrange to meet them in person, he said.
“He would seduce them before coaxing his ‘conquests’ to perform oral sex on him,” ACP Ab Rashid said.
“He would take photos of them in action and later threaten to release the pictures on social media. The men would pay up to RM10,000 to stop the pictures from being circulated online,” he added.
Six men have lodged police reports against him between last year and now.
However, police found it difficult to track him down because the man usually took his victims to hotels, and kept his address a secret.
“However, he made a mistake with his latest victim – taking him home for sex. The victim later lodged a police report and told us where he lived,” ACP Ab Rashid said.
The suspect, who has no criminal record, is under police custody until tomorrow.
The case has been classified as extortion under Section 384 of the Penal Code.
