Only electronic toll from Sept 1

PETALING JAYA: Motorists passing through Batu Tiga and Sungai Rasau toll plazas will have to pay toll electronically using PLUSMiles cards, Touch ’n Go cards or SmartTAGs starting Sept 1.

In line with this, PLUS is urging cash-paying daily commuters passing through both toll plazas on Federal Highway Route 2 (Subang-Klang) to migrate to the electronic toll collection system as soon as possible.

PLUS managing director Datuk Noorizah Abd Hamid said the move was part of the expressway operator’s effort to promote a more convenient and comfortable toll payment and collection system.

“To facilitate easier purchase and reload of PLUSMiles and Touch ’n Go cards, PLUS will open up drive-through counters at the Batu Tiga and Sungai Rasau toll plazas beginning July 19,” she said in a statement yesterday.

PLUS will also be offering a 30% toll rebate for Class 1 users paying toll electronically at off-peak hours (10am-4pm and 10pm-6am) at both toll plazas from Sept 1 until Dec 31.

Additionally, highway users will also be able to purchase pre-loaded RM5 PLUSMiles Touch ’n Go cards at a promotional rate of RM5 – which means a fee waiver for the card which usually costs RM10 – at both toll plazas beginning Aug 18 until Nov 30.
