PETALING JAYA: Former independent Bukit Gelugor by-election candidate Abu Backer Sidek Mohamad Zan has filed an election petition against Bukit Gelugor MP, Ramkarpal Singh Deo.
In a statement, Abu Backer, who is also a lawyer said the decision was made because he felt disappointed with the Election Commission (EC), which he accused of “mistreating” him throughout the campaign period.
