More Chinese sundry shop owners set to change with Tukar

KUALA LUMPUR: More Chinese sundry shop operators are expected to participate in the retail stores transformation programme (Tukar) following MCA’s intervention to attract more from the community to benefit under the programme.

“Chinese sundry shop operators have not been so proactive in participating in the Tukar programme. This was because, under the programme, they were required to get their supply from a single source while contractors engaged to renovate and upgrade their shops were also fixed,” said MCA Youth chief Chong Sin Woon.
