KUALA LUMPUR: A personal chauffeur was spared the death sentence when the High Court on Monday released and acquitted him from charges of trafficking 894 grammes of cannabis two years ago.
Judge Datuk Mohd Azman Husin made the ruling on Shahizan Shalahuddin, 33, after he was satisfied the defence had successfully raised reasonable doubt on the prosecution's case.
