KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has congratulated three Malaysian academics for being listed as among the world’s leading scientific minds.
“Congrats to our three professors on the most influential scientific minds list. We need people like you on social media,” he said in a Twitter posting.
On Thursday, The Star quoted from a 2014 report on “The World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds” by business information firm Thomson Reuters, which stated that the researchers had produced high-impact work that the scientific community judged to be significant in their fields.
They were Prof Dr Abdul Latif Ahmad from Universiti Sains Malaysia’s school of chemical engineering, Prof Dr Ishak Hakim from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia’s science and technology faculty and Prof Dr Saidur Rahman from Universiti Malaya’s engineering faculty.
