KUALA LUMPUR: The police and army officers, who were detained as suspected Sulu militants during a special operation in Kunak, Sabah on Wednesday, have blood ties with members of the militant group in the Philippines.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohd Bakri Zinin said that the two corporals were singled out after investigations revealed that their “movements here had assisted groups to move in and out” of Sabah waters.
