KUCHING: The Sarawak government's request for higher oil and gas royalties is being looked into, reassures Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Muhyiddin said the Federal Government considered Sarawak's request as a "priority" and would likely become a campaign issue in the next state election, which is not due until mid 2016.
