SIN Chew Daily reported that a mute woman was raped by her neighbour at her flat in Mengkarak, Pahang.
The victim was alone when the suspect allegedly broke into her home and raped her about midnight on June 14.
Her mother found out about the incident when the woman, using sign language, related the ordeal to her the next morning.
A police report was lodged.

Sources said the drug addict started to attack his wife for about five years now.
The latest assault took place in their house in Pantai Dalam, Kuala Lumpur, at about 11.30pm on June 11. The suspect hit his wife with a helmet resulting in her suffering a broken leg.
Unable to stand it any more, she lodged a police report.
The victim said her children, aged nine and seven, were traumatised.

Sources said Lam’s 23-year-old brother refused to take photos with Ng during his graduation ceremony in the United States in May, last year.
Some of Lam’s fans, who also disliked Ng, urged Lam’s brother to advise his brother to leave the 20-year-old artiste. They accused Ng of being with Lam just for his wealth.
