MUAR: Marine police thwarted an attempt to smuggle out 21 illegal immigrants off the Kuala Sungai Muar waters here.
Region Two commander Asst Comm Paul Khiu Khon Chiang said, while patrolling the waters around 11pm on Friday, his officers spotted the group hiding in a fibre glass boat.
