Malaysia’s economic growth set to continue, says Najib

KUALA LUMPUR: Strong economic fundamentals and encouraging trends are among the factors that will ensure the continued growth of the nation’s economy, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

“The nation’s economy has shown encouraging trends for the first quarter of 2014, where Gross Domestic Product (GDP) recorded a growth of 6.2%, which is the highest growth since the fourth-quarter of 2012,” he said in response to a question by Datuk Shamsul Anuar Nasarah (BN-Lenggong) in Parliament, Thursday.
