PETALING JAYA: The Star Education Fair 2014 will feature a variety of activities which include talks on studying techniques and careers.
LN LearningHub Asia Sdn Bhd learning specialist Charissa Rebecca Daniel said there would be workshops on how to score in exams.
“There will be a Memory Booster Workshop where students can learn a study-store-recall system and other memory techniques.
“Students can also learn how to double their reading speed, take notes efficiently and devise proper revision strategies,” she said, adding that the techniques would be applicable to all ages. The Brickfields Asia College workshop is presented by LN LearningHub Asia.
Multimedia Development Corporation Youth Communities & Initiatives Cluster manager Ravindra Ramu said they were working with BrainBytes, UniCliq and SAGE Interactive to deliver fun-filled activities for all.
“You can explore your personality through a profiling method from Britain, which may even help you make career choices.
“There will also be a introductory session to Blender, a 3-D animation program as well as Celex, an educational and entertaining portal for the whole family,” he said.
SEGi Subang Jaya head of student affairs Anand Vijey Manicam will help students succeed in public speaking.
“Public speaking isn’t so scary – you just have to be yourself,” he said, adding that public speaking skills were important at all stages in life.
Those with a flair for design should attend the session by Raffles College of Higher Education Interior Design lecturer Roberto Ingrassia on “Why Interior Design is the World’s Fastest Growing Design Profession”.
“There are always new buildings in KL, so there are plenty of amazing opportunities for interior design here,” he said.
Come learn a thing or two at the fair this weekend at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 11am to 7pm. Admission is free.
Visitors attending the talks will stand a chance to win e-tickets from Golden Screen Cinemas. For more information, call 03-7967 1388 (extension: 1233/1240/1436).
