A CHILD expert who wrote a book that has become a treasured source for paediatricians dealing with child burn patients has been named the recipient of the coveted Avvaiyar Award from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayatalalithaa.
Dr K. Mathangi Ramakrishnan, who chairs the Child Trust Medical Research, was conferred the award for her outstanding contributions in the field of paediatric burn care and plastic and reconstruction surgery, Makkal Osai reported, quoting a government press release.
