Don't bow to 'outside' pressure, groups tell state govt

JOHOR BARU: A coalition of Malay rights groups in Johor, voicing support for their Sultan’s role in the state’s housing management under a planned legislation, called on the state government not to bow to pressure from “outsiders” in the matter.

“Politicians and leaders outside Johor, please stop meddling in our affairs or be influenced by quarters who want to create trouble in the state,” said Johor Coalition of Malay Rights Groups Council (Gabung) treasurer Zaini Atan.
