NEW DELHI: The absence of the Malaysian woman who was drugged and raped in Jaipur, Rajasthan will not impact the prosecution of the accused as enough evidence has been collected.
The victim’s absence will not have any impact on the prosecution, as police had recorded her statement before a magistrate under Section 164 of the CrPC (recording of confessions and statements under the Code of Criminal Procedure) before she left for Malaysia, according to a Times of India news report, quoting an unnamed police officer.
