KUALA LUMPUR: The Prime Minister’s wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor is scheduled to open the National Girl Guides Carnival 2014 on June 8 at Boulevard, Putrajaya.
Rosmah is Malaysian Girl Guides Association (PPPM) president.
The four-day carnival, beginning on June 6, will be held at Wetland Park in Putrajaya.
In a statement, PPPM said its Federal Territory of Putrajaya branch would host this year’s carnival, which would involve the participation of 600 members nationwide.
It said participants would camp and participate in activities such as wall climbing, dragon boat racing, nature talk, cruise across the lake and treasure hunt.
The association invites the public to visit the carnival as there will also be a demonstration on cooking with solar energy by Cadet Girl Guides from the Teachers Training Institute. — Bernama
