Political stunt: Nga in the midst of his onstage faux pas in Teluk Intan.
TELUK INTAN: Perak DAP chairman Nga Kor Ming sprained his ankle after trying to execute a kung fu move to kick a booklet at a ceramah.
While on stage at the Anson Industrial Park on Monday, he brought out a booklet promoting Barisan Nasional’s Teluk Intan parliamentary by-election candidate Datuk Mah Siew Keong.
He threw the booklet into the air, jumped up and tried to kick it with his left leg.
He missed, landed awkwardly on his right leg and injured his ankle in the process.
He later sought treatment at the Teluk Intan Hospital.
Nga, who was in Kuala Kangsar yesterday to pay respects to the late Sultan Azlan Shah, said he was recovering from the injury.
Mah will face DAP’s Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud in a straight fight in the by-election.
The by-election was triggered after incumbent Seah Leong Peng succumbed to cancer earlier this month.
