JOHOR BARU: Sixteen detainees at the Ayer Molek prison who were earlier suspected of having contracted meningococcal meningitis, after having displayed symptoms, have been certified free of the disease.
State health and environment committee exco Datuk Ayub Rahmat said the detainees had returned to their respective cells after being kept in isolation for five days.
