Sister-city status for KK and Portland next year

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah’s capital city Kota Kinabalu is set to twin with Portland, Oregon in the United States.

A sister-city status between the two is expected to be sealed by September next year. Kota Kinabalu mayor Datuk Abidin Madingkir said the plan was under way and that Sabah was chosen by Portland due to the similarities of their peoples and geographies.
