BANGKOK: The arbitrary and illegal detentions made after the declaration of martial law in Thailand have alarmed the international community, with the Southeast Asian Press Alliance (Seapa) calling for the release of all detainees.
In a press statement, the organisation voiced its disagreement with a military takeover as a means to resolve the political impasse due to the harsh measures imposed to restrict the media, freedom of expression, and assembly.
