JOHOR BARU: Male underwear bearing the colours of the flags of participating countries in this year’s World Cup is selling well here.

Best loved is the green, blue and yellow coloured undies of the host country – Brazil – on the band.

“Germany gets a lot of support too with the underwear in the black, red and yellow colours,” said Nasrullah Jamaluddin, the Under Shop sales assistance, at the Johor Baru City Square shopping mall.

Each underwear is priced at RM25.

“Some people are buying them as souvenirs and we also have women buying for their husbands, boyfriends and male colleagues,” said Nasrullah.

Creative executive Rosman Kasiman, who is rooting for Brazil, said he had to pre-book that country’s underwear at the outlet as it was sold out.

Maintenance supervisor Halid Esa said this was the first time he had come across such underwear.

“My favourite country is England and I’m buying two sets,” he said.

“And hopefully England will make it to the finals.”
