PETALING JAYA: Malaysia must step up security for commuters to avoid tragedies such as in Taipei where a knife-wielding man attacked subway passengers, said MCA deputy president Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong.
“I urge the Transport Ministry, Land Public Transport Commission and police to review our public transport security system and plug any possible loopholes to ensure the safety of passengers,” he said in a statement.
