KARAK: The Federal government has set aside RM5mil to build a pipeline from the end of the Pahang-Selangor Raw Water Transfer project tunnel in Langat Selangor to the Sungai Langat river in preparation for the impending El Nino phenomenon.
Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili said some 500 million litre per day (mld) of raw wayer will be channeled after the tunnel is cleaned up on July 30.
