Umno and Najib serve demand letters on Malaysiakini

PETALING JAYA: Umno and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak have served letters of demand on online news portal Malaysiakini and two of its senior staff members – editor-in-chief Steven Gan and chief editor Fathi Aris Omar – over two allegedly defamatory articles published on Wednesday.

The letters of demand, which were served on Thursday, referred to two articles carried by the portal – “A case of the PM reaping what he sows” and “How much Najib spends to keep Terengganu” – which they claimed contained several defamatory comments.
