Law student was cheerful, say classmates

BUKIT MERTAJAM: Classmates of law student Tieu Hooi Theng, who fell to her death on the island on Monday, described the 21-year-old as cheerful and happy and expressed shock at her sudden passing.

While her family members were still too distraught to be interviewed, Tieu’s classmates from Advance Tertiary College (ATC) Penang campus, who paid their last respects at her home in Taman Mesra Permai in Butterworth, spoke fondly of her.
