KUALA LUMPUR: A new fitness reality show will be filmed on location in Malaysia.

Fit For Fashion is set to feature 12 contestants and their journeys toward a healthier lifestyle.

Produced by Singapore-based Imagine Group, the show is supported by the British government’s GREAT Britain campaign.

The international campaign aims to highlight the United Kingdom as the ideal destination for business, tourism and education.

Fit For Fashion also has health and fitness group Fitness First as its key partner.

The reality show was unveiled by UK Minister for Sport, Tourism and Equalities Helen Grant at a launch at the Avenue K shopping mall here yesterday.

“The UK is on the cutting edge of international fashion and renowned for setting trends. These are positive traits, which we are confident will be reflected in Fit For Fashion,” she said.

“The unique reality TV show will encourage people to make fitness a part of their daily regime and it’s a project worthy of the GREAT Britain campaign’s support.”

Grant is here to promote the GREAT Britain campaign.

The winner of the 10-episode series will take home US$100,000 (RM322,000).

Fit For Fashion will be aired on StarWorld (Astro CH 711) later this year.
