KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians can expect another wave of dry spell during the Southwest Monsoon from mid-May 2014 until early September.

However, rain is expected to occur in the morning, especially in the coastal areas of west coast states in the peninsular, said a statement from the Meteorological Department.

It said the Southwest Monsoon this time around was expected to bring less rainfall than normal in June in all states before returning to normal levels from July to September, except for in Sarawak.

Sarawak is expected to be much drier than normal in June, July and September except for in August when the rainfall will be at the normal level, it added.

Information on the weather conditions can be obtained by calling 1-300 -22- 1MET or MetMalaysia website. - Bernama
