ALOR SETAR: More than 2,000 households and business centres here and in Sungai Petani experienced a power failure which lasted for about an hour from 3pm.
A Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) staff, who did not want to be named, said that besides Kedah, Malacca and Johor also experienced a power outage.
Among the residential areas affected in Alor Setar were Taman Nuri, Alor Mengkudu and Jalan Langgar.
In Sungai Petani, the affected areas were Taman Pekan Baru, Bandar Sungai Petani and several shopping centres such as Billion Shopping Centre and Central Square Shopping Complex.
