Court sets June 23 to hear Anwar’s defamation suit against Syed Hamid


KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court has set June 23 to hear the defamation suit filed by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim against former Home Minister Tan Sri Syed Hamid Albar for allegedly implying that he is a traitor.

Judge Justice Nik Hasmat Nik Mohamad fixed the date for the trial after meeting the parties in chambers.
