IN a bizarre ritual in Manakuppam village in Villupuram, about 50km from Chennai, a month-old girl was passed through a large gap in a tree to purportedly cure her from rejecting her milk, reported Makkal Osai.
The baby’s mother had suffered complications during her pregnancy and died after giving birth.
